Job Description

SharkNinja APAC is seeking a strategic and execution-oriented National Key Account Manager - Modern Trade to lead our partnership with Modern trade accounts in India. This is a high-impact, P&L-influencing role that demands deep retail acumen, relationship mastery, and commercial agility. You will serve as the primary business owner for one of the large modern trade accounts, driving both sell-in and sell-out performance while co-creating the future of our partnership through insight-led collaboration.
  • End-to-End Account Leadership
  • Own the full P&L-linked business relationship with the account at national and regional levels.
  • Act as the single point of accountability for all commercial, operational, and strategic engagements with the account.
  • Top-to-Top Relationship Building
  • Cultivate trusted advisor-level relationships with the account’s senior leadership including category heads, Buyer’s, Operations teams, Merchandiser’s, marketing, and regional teams).
  • Joint Business Planning (JBP)
  • Lead the development, negotiation, and execution of annual and quarterly Joint Business Plans with the account teams.
  • Align JBP with SharkNinja’s India growth strategy—covering assortment, pricing, promotions, inventory, and innovation pipeline.
  • Sell-In & Sell-Out Orchestration
  • Drive optimal sell-in through demand forecasting, stock alignment, and promotional cadence.
  • Spearhead sell-out creation by collaborating with Account’s Regional/Store teams, Shark Ninja Sell out Creation teams, promoters, and deploying data-driven store engagement tactics.
  • Sell-Out Team & Promoter Ecosystem
  • Recruit, onboard, and manage a high-performing team of brand promoters/brand ambassadors dedicated to the account stores.
  • Ensure consistent brand standards, product knowledge, and retail excellence across all touchpoints.
  • Implement performance tracking, incentives, and capability-building programs for frontline teams.
  • Groom and drive the Sell-out creation team of Shark Ninja to achieve desired results in the account.
  • Regional Stakeholder Engagement
  • Partner closely with account’s regional operations, store managers, and sales leads to tailor local go-to-market plans.
  • Act as the bridge between national strategy and on-ground execution—ensuring agility and relevance in diverse markets.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Marketing, Trade Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Product teams to deliver seamless execution and resolve bottlenecks.
  • Leverage retail analytics and sell-out data to generate actionable insights and optimize assortment/portfolio performance.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 6–10 years of experience in Modern Trade, Key Account Management, or Retail Sales, preferably in consumer electronics, home appliances.
  • Proven track record managing large-format retail accounts (e.g., Croma, Reliance Digital, Vijay Sales) with demonstrated success in JBP, sell-out growth, and team leadership.
  • Strong understanding of retail operations, POS dynamics, inventory management, and promotional mechanics in India.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills—able to influence without authority and navigate matrixed organizations.
  • Data-savvy with fluency in retail KPIs (sell-through rate, SOI, GMROI, GMROF, ACV, etc.).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across key markets.
