Core Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Management
- Leading and managing the mobile development team across iOS and Android platforms.
- Mentoring team members and fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
- Conducting performance reviews, setting goals, and creating development plans.
- Managing resource allocation and capacity planning across multiple projects.
- Recruiting, onboarding, and retaining top mobile development talent.
Technical Leadership & Architecture
- Defining and maintaining mobile architecture standards and best practices.
- Making critical technical decisions on technology stack, frameworks, and development approaches.
- Leading technical discussions, code reviews, and ensuring code quality standards.
- Providing hands-on technical guidance on complex iOS development challenges.
- Staying current with mobile development trends and emerging technologies.
- Establishing coding standards, development workflows, and quality assurance processes.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Communicating directly with clients to understand requirements and provide technical consultation.
- Managing client expectations and building strong stakeholder relationships.
- Presenting technical solutions and project updates to clients and leadership.
- Collaborating with Product, Design, and Backend teams for seamless delivery.
Project & Delivery Management
- Overseeing project timelines, deliverables, and ensuring on-time releases.
- Balancing technical debt with new feature development.
- Ensuring quality and performance of applications to specifications.
- Managing App Store and Google Play submission and release processes.
Strategic Planning
- Developing and executing mobile development roadmap aligned with business objectives.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and team efficiency.
- Evaluating and recommending new tools, frameworks, and technologies.
- Contributing to technical strategy and long-term planning initiatives.
Required Skills/Qualifications
iOS Expertise
- 7+ years of experience in mobile development with strong iOS background.
- Expert-level proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI.
- Deep experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, Core Graphics, Core ML, UIKit, and Combine.
- Strong understanding of iOS architecture patterns (MVVM, VIPER, Clean Architecture, MVC).
- Knowledge of Apple's design principles and application interface guidelines.
- Experience with iOS back-end services, RESTful APIs, and GraphQL.
- Familiarity with push notifications, APIs, and cloud messaging.
- Experience publishing applications on App Store.
Android & Cross-Platform Knowledge
- Working knowledge of Android development (Kotlin/Java) and Android ecosystem.
- Understanding of Android architecture and development practices.
- Knowledge of Flutter is a great asset.
- Familiarity with cross-platform frameworks (React Native, Flutter) is a plus.
Technical Skills
- Experience with third-party libraries, APIs, and SDK integrations.
- Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
- Mobile app performance optimization and memory management.
- Experience with mobile security best practices.
- Proficient in code versioning tools including Git, SVN, and Mercurial.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and continuous deployment (build systems | deployment tools).
- Experience with workflow management tools (Jira | GitHub Workflow | TFS).
- Knowledge of mobile analytics, crash reporting tools (Firebase, Crashlytics).
- Experience with unit testing, UI testing, and test automation.
Leadership & Management Skills
- 5+ years of team leadership or people management experience.
- Proven track record of delivering multiple mobile applications from concept to production.
- Strong mentorship and coaching abilities.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and stakeholder relationships.
Communication & Soft Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong client-facing experience with ability to manage expectations.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
