Outstation candidates please do not apply. About the Role We are seeking a skilled MERN Stack Developer with 3–4 years of hands-on experience to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining scalable web applications using MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js. You will collaborate closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other developers to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business requirements. Key Responsibilities * Full-Stack Development: Design, develop, and maintain web applications using the MERN stack. * API Design & Integration: Build and consume RESTful APIs with Node.js and Express.js; integrate third-party services as required. * Frontend Engineering: Implement responsive UI components in React.js, ensuring optimal performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility. * Database Management: Model, query, and optimize MongoDB schemas; ensure data integrity, indexing, and efficient query performance. * Code Quality & Testing: Write clean, modular, and reusable code; develop unit tests (e.g., Jest, Mocha) and end-to-end tests; participate in code reviews. * Collaboration & Documentation: Work closely with cross-functional teams; document architecture decisions, API contracts, and setup processes. * Deployment & Scaling: Assist with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, or similar). Monitor application performance and recommend improvements. * Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve production issues in a timely manner; participate in on-call rotations if required. Required Qualifications * Experience: 3–4 years of professional work experience specifically in MERN stack development. Technical Skills: * MongoDB: Proficient in schema design, aggregation pipelines, indexing, and performance tuning. * Express.js & Node.js: Strong understanding of server-side JavaScript, middleware, security best practices, and RESTful API architectures. * React.js: Hands-on experience with component lifecycle, hooks (useState, useEffect, etc.), state management (Context API, Redux, or similar), and routing (React Router). * JavaScript/TypeScript: Advanced knowledge of ES6+ features; TypeScript familiarity is a plus. * HTML/CSS: Expertise in semantic HTML5, CSS3, Flexbox/Grid, and preprocessors (SASS/LESS) or CSS-in-JS libraries (Styled Components, Emotion). * Version Control: Proficient with Git, branching strategies, and pull-request workflows. * Testing: Familiarity with unit testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha) and frontend testing tools (React Testing Library, Enzyme). Soft Skills: * Strong problem-solving abilities and debugging skills. * Excellent written and verbal communication; able to articulate technical concepts clearly. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an agile/scrum environment. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda), Azure, or Google Cloud. * Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). * Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI). * Understanding of web security principles (OWASP Top 10, JWT, OAuth2). * Exposure to GraphQL, Next.js, or other modern frameworks. * Prior experience with microservices or serverless architectures.
