Position Overview:


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and prototype new sheet metal parts, assemblies, and machining components ensuring optimal functionality, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Perform 

    reverse engineering

     of existing components or systems to derive design specifications and improve upon current solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality control, and sales, to define precise product specifications and requirements.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, stress analysis, and simulations to validate design concepts and improve product performance.
  • Develop detailed technical drawings, 2D and 3D models, specifications, and comprehensive documentation for manufacturing processes.
  • Design and develop welding jigs and fixtures

     to ensure accuracy, repeatability, and efficiency in the assembly of sheet metal parts and complex structures.
  • Design and develop Quality Control (QC) jigs and inspection fixtures

     for precise measurement and verification of developed sheet metal and machined parts.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and relevant certifications (e.g., EN 15085 for welding) throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Identify and implement improvements to existing products and processes to enhance functionality, quality, and user experience.
  • Work closely with suppliers to source appropriate materials and components required for fabrication and machining.
  • Conduct tests and evaluations of prototypes and first-off samples to ensure durability, stability, and performance.
  • Provide technical support during product launches, including training and troubleshooting for manufacturing and quality teams.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product design and development engineering, with a strong focus on 

    sheet metal fabrication, machining, and assembly design.

  • Proven experience in reverse engineering techniques and tools.

  • Demonstrated experience in designing welding jigs and quality control fixtures.

  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, Inventor) for 2D drafting and 3D modeling, and experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools.

  • Strong understanding of materials (especially various grades of steel, stainless steel, aluminum), manufacturing processes (laser cutting, CNC bending, welding techniques, machining processes), and engineering principles.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities, with experience collaborating in multidisciplinary environments.

  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO, EN for welding, ANSI/ASME for drafting).
