Position Overview: The Production Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the production line, ensuring that goods are produced with the highest quality standards and delivered on time. This role requires proficiency in managing production schedules and knowledge of jigs and fixtures for sheet metal parts and assemblies. Key Responsibilities: Plan, manage, and oversee the production process to ensure timely and efficient manufacturing of sheet metal products. Ensure products are produced to the required quality standards and specifications, implementing quality control measures throughout the production process. Utilize jigs and fixtures to enhance production efficiency and accuracy in fabricating sheet metal parts. Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize production processes and eliminate bottlenecks. Analyze production data and metrics, implementing improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs. Identify and resolve production issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime. Train and supervise production staff to ensure adherence to safety and operational procedures. Maintain documentation related to production processes, quality checks, and compliance standards. Monitor inventory levels of materials and coordinate with procurement for timely replenishment. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in production engineering or manufacturing, with a focus on sheet metal fabrication. Strong knowledge of production processes, quality management systems, and lean manufacturing principles. Expertise in the design and use of jigs and fixtures for sheet metal parts and assembly processes. Proficiency in production planning and scheduling tools.
