Marketing Lead – Brand & Growth Position Title: Marketing Lead – Brand & Growth Department: Marketing Reports To: Founder & CEO Location: Kopar Khairane, Navi Mumbai (On-Site) About Us Sipwise Smart Bottles is revolutionizing hydration with its cutting-edge smart bottles. Sipwise is a startup from IIT Bombay, with Technology Developed at IIT Bombay. More about Sipwise here: www.sipwise.store Role Summary The Marketing Lead is responsible for building and running the entire marketing function at Sipwise, with a strong emphasis on brand building, creative storytelling, and understanding consumer psychology. This role goes beyond campaign execution to develop meaningful narratives, user-centric communication, and a lasting emotional connection with Sipwise’s audience. The ideal candidate is a design-savvy, brand-obsessed marketer who understands human behavior and can bring our vision to life across every touchpoint. Key Responsibilities 1. Brand & Identity Development Define and evolve Sipwise’s brand voice, purpose, and design language. Create and maintain brand guidelines that translate across digital and physical experiences. 2. Narrative & Creative Strategy Develop compelling narratives rooted in customer insights, wellness culture, and lifestyle aspirations. Oversee creative direction for all content including web, social, email, packaging, and Amazon listings. 3. Customer Understanding & Journey Mapping Map and optimize the entire customer journey with an emphasis on behavioral insights. Translate customer feedback and analytics into emotionally resonant messaging and UX decisions. 4. Content & SEO Ownership Plan and execute a consistent blog and organic content calendar. Use AI tools to scale content without compromising tone or quality. 5. Marketing Systems Setup & Execution Set up workflows, email sequences, automation tools, and templates that enable scale. Coordinate with freelance talent and tools (AI, design, etc.) to speed up execution. 6. Performance Marketing Alignment Act as the brand gatekeeper when collaborating with ad agencies. Ensure all paid creatives align with the brand story and engage the right audiences. 7. Community & Loyalty Building Develop initiatives like hydration challenges, referral programs, and storytelling campaigns to build community. Encourage UGC, reviews, and brand advocacy through emotionally engaging tactics. Qualifications & Skills Experience 2–4 years of experience in brand marketing, creative strategy, or consumer tech/D2C roles. Proven experience managing creative projects end-to-end and driving brand consistency. MBA preferred, but not mandatory. Skills Exceptional storytelling and brand thinking. Strong aesthetic sensibility and attention to detail. Proficiency in tools like Canva, ChatGPT, Google Analytics, and basic SEO platforms. Ability to use AI tools effectively while maintaining human nuance. Strong grasp of consumer behavior, positioning, and emotional marketing. Attributes Street-smart, self-driven, and proactive. Immediate joining preferred. Comfortable taking full ownership of marketing. Passionate about design, wellness, sustainability, and user-centered storytelling. Performance Metrics Quality and impact of brand storytelling across channels. Engagement and retention metrics from organic and paid efforts. SEO traffic and content consistency. Feedback from customers and internal brand alignment.
