Role & Responsibilities - Key Result Areas

1.Marketing Operations

Managing all the marketing, communications, events, and public relations of Forge including (but not limited to) the following:

  • Content creation, design and production/publishing of digital and promotional content, including self-work and coordination with internal resources (creative designer, web developer etc.) and external vendors (agencies)
  • Campaign brief creation, planning, selection of apt platforms and execution of the same through the agency.
  • Managing the marketing activities and outcomes for all events and programs in Forge including defining the budget, obtaining approval for scope and timelines, working/negotiating with vendors, and ensuring the deliverables are achieved on-time, on-scope and on-cost
  • Maintain program-wise monthly calendars with support from program managers  to ensure campaigns are well planned ahead of execution, and advise program teams on creation of campaign tracks to drive engagement and traffic to program websites and social media channels. 
  • Manage creative agencies as well as internal design resources so as to meet program/vertical requirements on time, by managing priorities and productivity of these resources. 
  • Source, identify, negotiate contracts with, and manage vendors for printing, creative design, and web design needs, including drafting Requests for Proposal (RFPs), tracking payments, monitoring outcomes, and overseeing contract renewals as necessary, while maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Track, report on, and manage the progress and execution of Forge.Marketing Key Result Areas (KRAs) and external agency work, including identifying and addressing any issues or challenges, and executing strategic interventions wherever necessary.

2.Online Community & Events

  • Building Forge into a popular online community and a platform for the different beneficiaries in the ecosystem including students, early-stage startup founders, mentors etc.
  • Manage online communities to drive leads for all the events and programs to be organised in Forge across different topics/themes. This scope shall include:
  • Managing a calendar of campaigns aligned with the scheduled calendar of events
  • Handling all promotions and campaigns to increase the awareness of these events within the target audience and to increase the attendance/revenues in these events
  • Managing internet/digital content, social media community and campaigns etc. among other related activities
  • Managing the comprehensive database of all contacts in the ecosystem toward expanding the target base for all our promotions and campaigns

3.Corporate Communications

  • Identifying target companies/ state governments and key influencers in the space to organise one-to-one live e-interactions with and to manage the calendar and agenda for the same
  • Developing and maintaining the collaterals/ promotional materials for Forge
  • Manage the design, content and publication of monthly newsletters
  • Owning all forms of corporate communications for Forge, both internal & external, including the creative design and content of various reports submitted to funding agencies, clients, promoters etc.


Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Minimum 2 years of prior marketing experience for a technology firm or a tech start-up is preferred

with experience in the internal communication departments.

  • Tech-savvy with the ability to make complex technical matters easy-to understand even for non-technical people.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task projects and deliverables.
  • Strong professional track-record showcasing ownership going beyond the scope and set goals.
  • Minimum 2 professional references and must have published articles on any major tech forums apart from

LinkedIn, blogs or articles.

  • UG/PG degree in English Literature/Mass Communications/Journalism etc. are most desirable.
