Major Activities (Responsibilities)
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Manager to join our team. The Commercial Manager will play a key role in evaluating and approving business cases, ensuring profitability, and working closely with cross-functional teams to support strategic business objectives. This role is crucial for driving revenue growth, optimizing costs, and ensuring alignment across departments such as Sales, Finance, Operations, and Product.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial Strategy Development:
Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial strategy to drive growth and profitability across the telecom product suite.
Identify market opportunities and competitive positioning for telecom products, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
Oversee the lifecycle of telecom products, including product development, pricing, launch, and post-launch performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams like marketing, sales, solutions, product, business development Manager, Login desk to define product requirements and prioritize features based on market demand.Regularly assess product performance and implement improvements to maximize market share and profitability.
- Pricing and Revenue Optimization:
Establish and manage competitive pricing models that balance customer acquisition with revenue growth.
Analyze revenue trends and profitability, adjusting pricing or go-to-market strategies as needed.Work closely with finance to forecast revenue and identify commercial risks and opportunities.
- Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy:
Develop and execute effective GTM strategies, including segmentation, targeting, and positioning of telecom products.
Lead cross-functional GTM initiatives to ensure product communications, promotional activities, and customer acquisitions.
- Customer and Market Insights:
Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
Gather feedback from sales teams and customers to improve the product roadmap and identify opportunities for new offerings.
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including executive leadership, partners, and vendors, to support the product’s growth and align objectives.
Present commercial insights, product updates, and key performance metrics to senior management regularly.
- Performance Tracking and Reporting:
Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess product performance, including revenue, market share, and customer satisfaction.
Provide regular reports and analysis on the commercial performance of telecom products, recommending actionable insights.
- Lead and manage the end-to-end RFP process for telecom products, including preparing and responding to RFPs, coordinating with relevant bid management teams, and ensuring timely submission.
Develop competitive proposals and ensure alignment with commercial and technical requirements.Work closely with legal, finance, and solutioning teams to assess risks, costs, and deliverables related to RFPs, ensuring proposals are accurate, competitive, and meet customer needs.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field Masters preferred.10+ years of experience in a commercial or financial role, with a focus on business case evaluation and cross-functional collaboration.Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with a proven ability to interpret data and make strategic recommendations.Experience working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; experience with financial software is a plus.
