Job Description

Synopsis of the Role:

Risk Business Partner is responsible for providing expert challenge and oversight on the development, application and maintenance of the Risk Management frameworks across the Equifax India businesses. The role holder will have particular responsibility for delivery of the annual Risk & Control Self-Assessment plan; understanding the risks, controls, and mitigation plans across the company, working with risk owners and managers, process managers and assurance teams to validate the control environment and mitigation plans, maintaining the ECIS/PEC Risk Registers and providing recommendations on future changes

What You’ll Do

  • Support the ECIS & other legal entities on all matters relating to compliance, regulatory, operational and enterprise risk.
  • Will work as an individual contributor, collaborating local stakeholders and the global risk management team
  • Work closely with the leadership team and all relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance and risk assessments
  • Support risk owners and managers in identifying risks, controls and mitigation plans, through delivery of the annual Risk & Control Self Assessment (RCSA) plan; partnering with assurance, change and incident managers to ensure risks and control gaps are identified and mitigated.
  • Periodically validate the design and effectiveness of controls, providing recommendations on future changes and the details of mitigation plans to confirm they are appropriately prioritized and progressing
  • Where required, Support the ECIS SLT in delivering Operational Resilience arrangements including partnering with business leaders in identifying vulnerabilities, impact tolerances, facilitation of scenario testing and enhanced business process mapping. Through ongoing monitoring and guidance, collaborate with process owners and managers to ensure vulnerabilities are identified and mitigated to confirm they are appropriately prioritized and progressing.
  • Support the delivery of risk management fora and governance reporting; identifying, designing and implementing continuous improvement opportunities where identified, to ensure that reporting is concise and can be understood by all business stakeholders (including board level, internal & external audit and senior management)
  • Raise business awareness and understanding of risk management and the relevant tools and techniques.
  • Deliver new joiner and ongoing risk training across the organization; identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities were identified.
  • Work constructively with Compliance and Legal colleagues on all matters, including providing challenge and advice and maintaining compliance with applicable regulatory and industry rules.
  • Support client audit requests for information and onsite inspections.
  • Provide advice and guidance to the business as required.
  • Engage in regulatory interactions as required or as directed by the CCRO / Risk Director.
  • Support the Internal Audit and second line functions on all matters as determined by the CCRO / Risk Director.
  • Assist the ECIS SLT as required in ensuring adherence to the Risk Management Policy and supporting standards.

What Experience You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Should have a minimum of 5 years of risk management experience within the banking or financial services sectors regulated by the RBI.
  • Should have experience of dealing with internal stakeholders and regulators as part of their job profile
  • Should have experience of directly engaging with auditors & regulators (RBI)
  • Recent experience in Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), Operational Resilience, or risk governance and reporting preferred.
  • Regulated financial services experience within an operational control, compliance or audit environment.
  • Understanding of conduct, regulatory and operational risk, particularly with regards to product governance, strategy, policies and defining risk appetites.
  • Possess or is interested in seeking a relevant risk management qualification e.g. IRM International Certificate in ERM.
