Job Title: Manager – Operations

Location: Vazhikatti Mental Health Centre, Coimbatore

Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer / Deputy Director / Director

Position Overview

The Manager – Operations will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning of all clinical and non-clinical departments of Vazhikatti Mental Health Centre. The role requires operational leadership, administrative control, and coordination across departments to maintain efficiency, compliance, and high-quality patient care. The Manager will act as the key link between management, clinical teams, and support staff, ensuring that organizational goals, policies, and service standards are implemented effectively.

Preferred Qualification and Experience

- MBBS degree or MBA in Hospital Administration / Healthcare Management.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a managerial capacity in a hospital or healthcare institution.- Proven experience in hospital operations, administrative management, and multidisciplinary coordination.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operations Management

- Oversee daily hospital operations across Outpatient, Inpatient, Pharmacy, Call centre and maintenance.

- Ensure smooth coordination between clinical and administrative departments to optimize patient flow and service delivery.

- Supervise and monitor adherence to hospital policies, standard operating procedures, and regulatory norms.

- Review daily operational performance and take corrective measures to resolve bottlenecks.

2. Clinical and Administrative Coordination

- Liaise with consultants, nursing staff, and allied health professionals to ensure continuity and quality of care.

- Support scheduling, resource allocation, and interdepartmental communication to ensure seamless functioning.

- Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and compliance in all clinical and administrative processes.

3. Staff Supervision and Performance Monitoring

- Supervise administrative and support staff, ensuring accountability and performance monitoring.

- Conduct regular team meetings and communicate operational priorities.

- Facilitate staff training, professional development, and adherence to institutional standards.

4. Patient Care and Experience

- Monitor patient experience and ensure that patient feedback is addressed promptly and effectively.

- Maintain a patient-centric operational culture aligned with the Centre’s vision and mission.

- Oversee complaint redressal, patient safety, and service recovery processes.

5. Financial and Resource Management

- Ensure optimal utilization of human resources, equipment, and facilities.

- Support management in cost optimization without compromising service quality.

6. Compliance and Quality Assurance

- Ensure compliance with statutory, legal, and accreditation requirements.

- Participate in internal audits and implement corrective and preventive actions.

- Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives across departments.

7. Reporting and Communication

- Prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly operational reports to management.

- Communicate key updates, challenges, and performance metrics to the leadership team.

- Support management in planning and executing strategic initiatives.

8. Emergency and Crisis Management

- Ensure operational readiness for emergencies, including patient surges, clinical crises, and infrastructure issues.

- Coordinate with relevant departments for emergency response and continuity of care.

Remuneration

Commensurate with qualification and experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
