Job Description

Job Role:

The Manager – Human Resources serves as a strategic partner to business leaders, aligning people initiatives with the fast-paced and dynamic needs of the media business. The role is responsible for enabling organisational effectiveness by driving talent management, workforce planning, capability building, and employee engagement initiatives that support creative excellence and business growth. Ensures HR policies, practices, and processes are effectively implemented within business units to achieve strategic objectives.


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with HR Business Partner on HR Strategy & Prioritization to create integrated views on specific HR strategic issues, HR Projects, Employee Issues and HR Administrative Services
  • Build positive employee experience that leads to improved business performance and increased levels of employee engagement
  • Deliver complete aspects of new employee orientation and support the onboarding of new hires
  • Participate in adapting/providing feedback on new approaches, policies and procedures for continual improvement of performance management and other talent management processes.
  • Partner with Managers on the end-to-end performance management process and the creation and implementation of performance improvement plans.
  • Work closely with all the levels of employees to ensure that People Practices, Policies and Tools are aligned.
  • Ensure organizational changes are implemented in a timely and accurate manner in partnership with all the levels of employees.
  • Handle various employee issues, such as investigating employee complaints, resolving employee conflicts and advising appropriate action. Responds to employee inquiries on policies and procedures.
  • Handling Separations, Exit Interviews and Documentation of exit notes for preparing the attrition analysis.
  • Employee Query & Grievance Management
  • Perform work in compliance with applicable state and local regulations pertaining to Indian labor law and regulations
  • Manage Recruitment activities for the business unit
  • Support central COE functions in driving and executing various initiatives within business unit


Skills And Expertise:

  • Proven ability to execute on foundational HR work such as routine employee relations, job requisition processing and system audits as well as various HR programs and project
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management
  • Customer focused attitude while maintaining tact, discretion, sensitivity and diplomacy
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in the regional language and understanding of cultural nuances is essential
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work efficiently
  • 4-6 years of experience in HR business partnership
  • Master’s degree in Human Resources
