Job Description – Manager (Accounts & Taxation)

Position Overview

We are looking for a smart and dynamic Manager – Accounts & Taxation to lead the accounts function in our manufacturing setup (Iron & Steel division). The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in accounting, taxation, compliance, and be well-versed in MS Office and ERP systems. This role requires accuracy, leadership, and the ability to manage financial operations independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure timely closure of books of accounts.
• Handle direct and indirect taxation (GST, TDS, Income Tax, etc.) including filings and compliance.
• Ensure statutory compliances and liaise with auditors, consultants, and government authorities.
• Monitor accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliation, and financial reporting.
• Prepare MIS reports, budgets, and cost analysis for management review.
• Implement and monitor internal controls for financial discipline.
• Support ERP-based accounting and improve automation in reporting.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (production, procurement, sales) for smooth financial flow.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerce/Finance (CA Inter / MBA in Finance).
• Around 35 years of age with 8–12 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of taxation laws, GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and exposure to ERP systems.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and ability to work under deadlines.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
