Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Logistics Manager to oversee and coordinate logistics operations across our India and overseas locations. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in international shipping, customs clearance, vendor management, and freight forwarding, along with excellent communication and leadership skills to manage a multi-location team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and manage the logistics, transportation, and warehouse operations to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Handle end-to-end import/export documentation, including coordination with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.
  • Oversee international shipments, ensuring compliance with INCOTERMS, customs regulations, and trade compliance standards.
  • Manage freight negotiations, vendor contracts, and annual rate reviews to optimize logistics costs.
  • Coordinate with procurement, sales, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth order execution and shipment scheduling.
  • Monitor and track shipments, proactively resolving any transit or delivery issues.
  • Prepare logistics performance reports and suggest process improvements.
  • Maintain relationships with global logistics partners, agents, and suppliers.
  • Supervise and train logistics team members in India for operational excellence and compliance.
  • Support overseas offices in logistics documentation, cargo planning, and cross-border coordination when required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in logistics operations, with at least 3 years in international logistics or overseas postings.
  • Strong knowledge of import/export procedures, INCOTERMS, HS codes, and freight forwarding processes.
  • Experience managing sea, air, and land freight operations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Leadership qualities with proven experience managing a team.

Preferred Skills:

  • Prior experience in oil & gas, industrial, or engineering equipment logistics.
  • Familiarity with Singapore, Middle East, or ASEAN trade routes and documentation.
  • Knowledge of international trade compliance and customs documentation.

Reporting To:

Head of Operations / Global Logistics Director

Work Location:

Pune

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Puna, Maharashtra: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
