Role Overview:


building and managing the organisation's legal function, with responsibilities that include

legal contracts and agreements


Key Responsibilities:


Contracts & Documentation:-

  • Lead the drafting, review, negotiation, and closure of a wide range of contracts, including commercial agreements, leave and license agreements, vendor/service provider contracts, NDAs, and ancillary documentation.
  • Liaise with internal teams (business, finance, admin, HR) and external stakeholders (vendors, landlords, legal counsel) to ensure timely, compliant execution of agreements.
  • Manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle, including repository maintenance, milestone tracking (renewals, expirations), and adherence to internal SOPs.


Legal & Financial Due Diligence:-

  • Lead due diligence processes for fundraising and strategic transactions by:
  • Coordinating with external counsel, financial advisors, and internal stakeholders to collate, verify, and present legal and financial documents.
  • Overseeing data room management with accurate, updated records of contracts, licenses, statutory filings, and compliance documents.
  • Reviewing and responding to due diligence checklists and investor queries in collaboration with internal and external teams.


Investor Relations & Compliance:-

  • Support investor-related processes by reviewing and assisting in the negotiation of shareholder agreements, term sheets, and compliance certificates.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, corporate governance norms, and investment covenants in all investor-related documentation.


Advisory & Risk Management:-

  • Provide legal advice on matters related to regulatory compliance, statutory filings, intellectual property protection, and licensing.
  • Assist in internal audits, conduct legal risk assessments, and contribute to the formulation and implementation of company policies.


Team Leadership:-

  • Mentor and guide junior legal team members; help build a scalable and efficient legal infrastructure to support future growth.


Candidature Requirements:


Education:-

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.); additional certifications in corporate, contract, or securities law are a plus.


Experience:-

  • 5–7 years in a corporate legal team or law firm with strong exposure to investor due diligence, corporate transactions, and compliance.
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial, property, and company law.
  • Proven experience in legal documentation, deal execution, and compliance processes related to fundraising and investment rounds.


Skills:-

  • Strong legal drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Familiarity with contract lifecycle management tools and virtual data room platforms.
  • Demonstrated ownership, organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
