Job Description

We are hiring a Lead UI/UX Designer to drive the end-to-end design strategy for consolidating two major Financial Services domains into a unified Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)-based platform. This is a leadership role that combines visionary UX strategy, design system stewardship, and cross-functional governance. You will define the design principles, establish scalable systems, and ensure seamless execution from Figma concepts to production-ready AEM builds.As the design authority, you will lead a distributed team, mentor designers, and collaborate closely with Product, Development, QA, SEO, Analytics, Legal, and Executive stakeholders. Your work will directly impact user engagement, accessibility, and the long-term scalability of enterprise digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic UX Leadership :

  • Define the consolidated UX vision, ensuring it aligns with business goals, technical requirements, and user needs.
  • Establish success metrics such as engagement uplift, design-to-development accuracy, and component reuse rate.
  • Anticipate scalability requirements including white-labeling, localization, and personalization strategies.

Design System Ownership

  • Architect and govern a production-ready design system comprising 100+ responsive components, enterprise-grade templates, and micro-interaction guidelines.
  • Define design tokens, responsive breakpoints, and component variants with complete documentation and version control.
  • Maintain a scalable design library ensuring consistency, extensibility, and reusability across multiple teams.

Team Leadership & Governance

  • Lead a distributed team of UX/UI designers by setting standards, conducting reviews, and mentoring at both senior and mid-levels.
  • Build best-practice playbooks including style guidelines, naming conventions, versioning, and workflow governance.
  • Ensure design reviews are rigorous, focusing on accessibility, usability, and brand compliance.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as the primary liaison for executive and legal stakeholders.
  • Facilitate design workshops, executive presentations, and large-scale design critiques to build consensus.
  • Manage stakeholder feedback systematically, turning large volumes of input into clear, prioritized design backlogs.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with AEM architects and front-end leads to validate component feasibility and scalability.
  • Provide detailed Figma specifications, annotated redlines, and developer-ready assets to ensure smooth handoffs.
  • Collaborate with QA teams to validate builds against high-fidelity designs across devices, browsers, and performance constraints.

Accessibility & Inclusivity

  • Conduct end-to-end WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility audits covering color contrast, semantic markup, keyboard navigation, and screen-reader workflows.
  • Embed accessibility standards into design artifacts and provide remediation strategies where gaps are found.
  • Champion inclusivity by ensuring designs work seamlessly for diverse user groups and assistive technologies.

Data-Driven Design & Quality Assurance

Define and track KPIs such as :
  • 98% design-to-development accuracy
  • 85% component reuse rate
  • User satisfaction scores and usability testing results
  • Conduct continuous QA/UX audits to identify gaps and improve design quality over time.
  • Analyze user behavior metrics (Heatmaps, Clickstreams, GA4) and use findings to iterate and enhance :
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in HCI, Interaction Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
  • 9+ years of progressive experience in UI/UX design leadership across large-scale enterprise or agency environments.
  • Proven expertise with Figma (Libraries, Prototyping, Auto Layout), Sketch, Adobe Creative Cloud, and prototyping tools (Principle, Protopie, Framer).
  • Deep understanding of component-driven design systems (atomic design methodologies, design tokens, responsive grids, breakpoints).
  • Strong hands-on experience with WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility audits and remediation.
  • Knowledge of AEM front-end paradigms (HTL, Sling, ClientLibs) and ability to guide developers with production-ready assets.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with sprint cadences, backlog grooming, and cross-functional planning.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including executive-level briefings, stakeholder workshops, and design critiques.
  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to define UX KPIs, evaluate results, and iterate designs based on both qualitative and quantitative insights.
