Job Description

Role Purpose:

The Lead – TQM will be the CEO’s strategic partner in creating, governing, and institutionalising systems that drive operational excellence across JJ Plastalloy. The role-holder’s primary objective is not only to design efficient systems but to ensure they are lived daily by every department, embedding a culture where system adherence becomes second nature.

Key Objectives:

  • System Creation: Build efficient, standardised frameworks for quality, supply chain, customer satisfaction, KPI governance etc.
  • System Governance: Establish review, monitoring, and escalation mechanisms to ensure compliance and accountability.
  • Culture Embedding: Drive adoption so that systems are owned by departments and embedded into everyday operations.
  • Audit & Readiness: Guarantee continuous compliance with standards, customer audits, conduct internal audits etc.
  • Sustainable Excellence: Achieve long-term reliability by standardising systems across functions, ensuring consistency, scalability, and transparency in operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design JJ Plastalloy’s enterprise-wide TQM framework with standardised processes and documentation.
  • Build tiered governance mechanisms (plant, functional, CEO-level reviews) to monitor performance.
  • Define and manage KPI dashboards that provide the CEO and leadership with clear visibility.
  • Partner with departments to ensure ownership of systems — processes should be followed without external push.
  • Lead supplier quality systems: qualification, audits, and performance monitoring.
  • Establish customer complaint and feedback loops with structured corrective/preventive actions.
  • Continuously review, streamline, and optimise business processes across all departments to drive efficiency and continuous business process improvements.
  • Drive adoption of compliance standards and continuous compliance across sites.
  • Embed Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen practices as permanent systems, not one-off projects.
  • Train and coach managers to build a culture of system thinking and accountability.

Expected Outcomes:

  • Company-wide shift from person-dependent working to system-driven operations.
  • CEO and leadership team empowered with transparent dashboards and governance reviews.
  • Long-term culture of accountability, discipline, and continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Proven expertise in TQM and system design across manufacturing organisations.
  • Strong governance mindset: ability to create mechanisms for monitoring, escalation, and accountability.
  • Track record of embedding culture change and ensuring adoption of systems across functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to own and deliver digital initiatives, and champion the implementation and adoption of IoT and Industry 4.0 to enhance efficiency, visibility, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Proficiency in Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, or Kaizen.
  • Strong analytical ability with experience in KPI design and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and influence skills; ability to drive change across leadership and shopfloor.
