What the role offers:
- Designs enhancements, updates, and programming changes for portions and subsystems of application software, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools.
- Analyses design and determines coding, programming, and integration activities required based on general objectives and knowledge of overall architecture of product or solution.
- Ability to write good clean code on a day-to-day basis and actively participates in Code reviews.
- Should be open to work across technologies as a full stack developer.
- Leads a project team of other software systems engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high-quality solutions for assigned systems portion or subsystem.
- Collaborates and communicates with management, internal, and outsourced development partners regarding software systems design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
- Represents the software systems engineering team for all phases of larger and more-complex development projects.
- Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.
What you need to succeed:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- Typically,10+ years’ experience
- Strong experience in Java development (Java 8+), with a deep understanding of frameworks such as Spring Boot, Hibernate, or Java EE.
- Significant hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration, scaling, and deployment in production environments.
- Expertise in designing and building microservices-based architectures.
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript is a must. Knowledge of UI frameworks like Angular/React is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs, Spring, Spring boot, Hibernate etc.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at management levels.
- Ability to demonstrate effective teamwork both within the immediate team and across teams.
- Experience working with RDBMS Databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle or MSSQL Server with good SQL knowledge.
- Strong knowledge of DevOps process and tools, continues integration and delivery.
- Experience in working with version control and build tools like GitLab, GIT, Maven, and Jenkins, GitLab CI.
- Expertise in implementing best practices for security, reliability, and performance in software systems.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a track record of delivering solutions to complex technical challenges.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience working in public cloud technologies - (AWS, Azure or GCP is preferred).
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Experience with event-driven architectures and distributed messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and experience leading Agile teams.
- A background in software security best practices and knowledge of Kubernetes security considerations.
