About the Function:


Position Overview

The Lead – People Operations will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day HR operations function, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in processes. This role will act as a central point for operational excellence across employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, data management, payroll inputs, compliance, and vendor coordination. The incumbent will also drive continuous improvements in systems and processes to support business scalability.


Key Responsibilities


1. Day-to-Day HR Operations

  • Manage the daily execution of HR operational processes with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Oversee documentation, file management, and ensure proper maintenance of employee records.
  • Establish process and protocol for HR Operations team while coordinating across Human Resource function and other functional partners (Finance, Legal & IT etc.)


2. Data & Systems Management

  • Maintain and update HR systems with accurate employee data.
  • Manage system changes, enhancements, and data audits to ensure integrity.
  • Generate and review ad hoc reports for HR and business leaders.


3. Employee Lifecycle Management

  • Onboarding: Coordinate end-to-end onboarding activities including documentation, system setup, letters, and orientation.
  • Exit Management: Support exit process, conduct exit documentation, and ensure compliance in final settlements.
  • Oversee contractor management, ensuring adherence to policies and compliance requirements.


4. Query & Vendor Management

  • Handle employee queries promptly and effectively, ensuring strong service orientation.
  • Manage external HR vendors, ensuring performance against SLAs and compliance with organizational policies.


5. Compliance & Payroll Support

  • Ensure adherence to HR compliance standards and statutory requirements.
  • Provide accurate payroll inputs (attendance, leave, new joiners, exits, corrections) to payroll team.
  • Support internal and external HR audits with required documentation and reporting.


6. Future Readiness

  • Drive improvements toward end-to-end onboarding stream lining and automation and digital HR processes.
  • Identify gaps and propose process improvements for operational efficiency.
  • Create/explore opportunities towards AI based initiatives in process optimisation.
  • Support in creating a globally centralised and standardised people operations and HR technology framework.

  • Qualifications & Skills

    • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
    • Above 10 years of HR operations experience with at least 3 to 5 years in a supervisory/lead role.
    • 5-7 years of experience with enterprise level HRIS; proven ability for system enhancements and integrations
    • Experience working on multiple HRIS platforms (workday, oracle cloud, Successfactors) would be an added advantage.
    • 5 years experience with cros-collaboration and analysis with payroll processes and statutory compliances globally.
    • Proven experience in vendor management and HR process automation.
    • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Proven experience with data integriy and accuracy with high attention to detail and a history in managing confidential information.
