Role Description

Role Proficiency:Ensuring adherence to test practices and process to improve test coverage

Outcomes:

Create Test Estimates and Schedules
Identify business processes conduct risk analysis and ensure test coverage
Ensure adherence of processes and standards
Produce test results defect reports test logs and reports for evidence of testing
Publish RCA reports and preventive measures
Report progress of testing
Contribute for Revenue savings for client by suggesting alternate method
Quality of Deliverables

Test Script Creation and Execution Productivity
Defect Leakage Metrics (% of defect leaked % of UAT defects and % of Production defects)

Participate in review walkthrough demo and obtain sign off by stakeholder for Test Design

Job Summary: We are seeking a versatile SDET / Quality Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with test automation frameworks like Selenium and Playwright, strong programming skills, and a solid understanding of both automated and manual quality assurance processes. You will play a crucial role in enhancing software quality through automation, exploratory testing, and close collaboration with engineering teams. Key Responsibilities: As an SDET: Interpret and reverse engineer existing Playwright and Selenium test scripts. Develop, maintain, and optimize automated test scripts using frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, and Appium. Perform API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, and Bruno. Leverage IVR/Chat tools (e.g., Bespoken) to automate customer IVR experiences. Analyze logs and debug issues effectively, with familiarity in tools like Datadog being a plus. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools. Conduct performance testing using tools such as JMeter and Gatling. Collaborate with DevOps and Agile teams to streamline testing and deployment processes. As a Quality Engineer: Design comprehensive and effective test plans to ensure software quality. Implement and advocate best practices for software quality assurance. Balance automated and exploratory testing to maximize coverage and uncover defects. Ensure software resilience and robustness through rigorous testing. Work closely with software engineers to improve testability and overall product quality. Required Skills: Strong programming skills in Java and/or Python. Experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Appium. Proficiency in API testing tools including Postman, RestAssured, Bruno. Familiarity with IVR/Chat automation tools like Bespoken is a plus. Strong debugging skills and experience with log analysis; knowledge of Datadog is advantageous. Understanding of DevOps principles and Agile development methodologies. Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions. Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter and Gatling. Ability to design detailed test plans and implement QA best practices. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
