Role Overview
We are seeking a strong finance professional to lead
Accounting, Taxation, and Financial Control
at DriveX, eventually the role will be re-aligned with Finance Team @ TVS Group Companies. The role involves complete ownership of accounting accuracy, statutory compliance, taxation, and working capital operations (Accounts Receivable and Payable). The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, structured, and able to operate independently in a fast-scaling business environment.
- Accounting & Financial Control
- Own the month-end and year-end closure process with complete accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure integrity of books across P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
- Manage general ledger accounting, reconciliations, accruals, and provisions.
- Establish and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and documentation standards.
- Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable (AR):
- Ensure timely invoicing, collections, and reconciliation of customer accounts.
- Track overdue positions and drive collection discipline with business teams.
- Monitor and report on receivable aging, DSO trends, and credit exposure.
- Accounts Payable (AP):
- Oversee vendor onboarding, invoice processing, and timely payments.
- Ensure accurate accounting of expenses, TDS, and GST credits.
- Drive process hygiene, vendor reconciliations, and cost discipline.
- Taxation (Direct & Indirect)
- Manage all compliance related to GST, TDS, income tax, and other statutory obligations.
- Lead tax planning, provisioning, and reporting within a compliant framework.
- Coordinate with tax consultants and authorities for assessments, refunds, and audits.
- Audit & Statutory Compliance
- Lead statutory, internal, and tax audits end-to-end.
- Ensure adherence to the Companies Act, and other regulatory requirements.
- Drive timely closure of audit findings and maintain readiness for board and investor reporting.
- Process, Systems & Controls
- Drive automation and process improvement across accounting, AR/AP, and compliance workflows.
- Partner with business, tech, and operations teams to ensure accounting accuracy across transactions.
- Support ERP implementation and strengthen data integrity across systems
Requirements
- Chartered Accountant (mandatory) with 6 –10 years of post-qualification experience.
- Strong grounding in accounting, taxation, and working capital management.
- Experience in a high-growth, multi-entity, or automotive/retail/fin-tech environment preferred.
- Proven ability to handle end-to-end controllership independently.
- Strong command over ERP tools, financial systems, and Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
