Role Summary
The L&D Lead will own the organization-wide Learning & Development function, driving strategic initiatives that align with Group Bayport's growth objectives. This leader will design, implement, and measure impactful L&D programs to upskill our workforce, enhance performance, and cultivate a culture of lifelong learning. A key focus will be leading agendas for leadership L&D, including executive coaching, succession planning, and high-potential talent development. This role demands a visionary strategist who can partner with senior leadership to transform learning into a competitive advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Ownership of L&D Function: Develop and lead the end-to-end L&D strategy, including needs assessment, program design, delivery, and evaluation, ensuring alignment with business goals and employee career pathways.
- Leadership Development Agendas: Spearhead specialized programs for senior leaders and high-potentials, such as executive leadership workshops, 360-degree feedback, mentoring frameworks, and succession planning to build a robust leadership pipeline.
- Program Design & Delivery: Create blended learning solutions (e.g., e-learning modules, instructor-led sessions, micro-learning, and experiential learning) tailored to diverse roles across the organization, leveraging internal and external resources.
- OJT and NJT Initiatives - Lead On-the-Job Training (OJT) and New Job Training (NJT) initiatives to ensure business effectiveness and role-readiness across functions.
- Talent & Performance Enhancement: Collaborate with HR and business units to integrate L&D into talent management, performance reviews, and employee engagement initiatives, fostering skills in innovation, collaboration, and adaptability.
- Digital & Scalable Learning Infrastructure: Lead the deployment and optimization of LMS & digital learning tools while promoting self-paced, mobile-first, and AI-enabled learning formats.
- Training Dashboards and Visualization: Own end-to-end L&D and training dashboard visualization, incorporating robust success metrics to track progress, impact, and ROI across programs.
- Metrics & ROI Measurement: Establish KPIs to track program effectiveness (e.g., engagement rates, skill uplift, retention impact) and use data-driven insights to optimize investments and demonstrate business value.
- Stakeholder Partnership: Work closely with C-suite executives and department heads to co-create agendas, secure buy-in, and scale L&D across global teams.
- Innovation & Culture Building: Champion a learning culture by promoting knowledge-sharing platforms, diversity in training content, and emerging trends like AI-driven personalization or gamification.
- Budget & Team Management: Oversee L&D budget, vendor relationships, and a team of L&D specialists/trainers, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master's Degree in a related field from a premium institute
- 8-10+ years in L&D/OD roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity owning an enterprise-wide L&D function; proven track record in leadership development programs within a large organization
- Experience in fast-paced, product-diverse environments (e.g., tech, manufacturing, or global conglomerates) is highly desirable.
