Job Description

Looking for Leader Land Acquisition for one of the Fastest Growing Power Company in India.


Designation : AVP

Experience : 17 to 24 Yrs

Location : Gurgaon

Reports to :


Purpose

Provide technical support across the Project, supporting Land Acquisition teams to ensure best and effectively implementation of norms of Land Acquisition and should be capable of identifying properties having excellent development potential including understanding the values of lands, rentals etc.,


What the role entails – Key accountabilities/ responsibilities

1. Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Develop and implement comprehensive land acquisition strategies to support organizational growth and project objectives.
  • Identify and evaluate potential land opportunities through market research, networking, and relationship building with landowners, brokers, and other industry professionals.
  • Negotiate purchase agreements and contracts with landowners, brokers, and government entities to acquire suitable properties for development or investment purposes.

2. Due Diligence & Compliance

  • Conduct thorough due diligence on potential land parcels, including zoning regulations, environmental assessments, and any other relevant factors.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and national laws, including the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013.
  • Coordinate with legal teams to ensure all necessary legal documentation is completed accurately and efficiently.

3. Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain relationships with landowners, community leaders, government agencies, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth land acquisition and development processes.
  • Liaise with local authorities to facilitate smooth acquisition processes and resolve any disputes or issues.
  • Represent the company in public forums and negotiations, ensuring alignment with project timelines and resource allocation.

4. Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead and mentor a team of land acquisition professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal departments such as legal, finance, and project management to align acquisition strategies with project timelines and budgets.

5. Risk Management & Reporting

  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with land acquisition, including legal, financial, and environmental risks.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on land acquisition progress, challenges, and opportunities to senior management.
  • Monitor and report on land acquisition progress and outcomes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
