Junior Tester

We are seeking a Junior Tester with 1–3 years of experience in manual testing across web, mobile, and desktop platforms. The ideal candidate should have an understanding of SDLC and STLC, hands-on experience with test case design, defect tracking, and a keen eye for detail. You will be responsible for executing test cases, reporting defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and adherence to testing standards.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Execute manual test cases across iOS, Android, and Windows platforms
• Design, develop, and maintain test cases and test plans based on functional and business requirements
• Conduct functional, regression, smoke, sanity, exploratory, integration, and system testing
• Perform app lifecycle testing: install, upgrade, relaunch, and permission handling
• Log and track defects in Azure DevOps with clear reproduction steps and severity classification
• Analyze requirements and create Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM)
• Collaborate with developers and product teams
• Participate in sprint ceremonies and QA planning sessions
• Ensure adherence to testing processes and quality standards
• Provide feedback on usability, connectivity, and performance
• Document test results and deliver concise testing reports

Technical Skills Required

Testing Techniques:

• Functional, Regression, Smoke, Sanity, Exploratory, Integration, and System Testing
• UI/UX validation across platforms
• Compatibility testing across OS versions and hardware models
• Defect logging and severity classification
• Strong knowledge of SDLC and STLC

Tools & Utilities:

• Microsoft Azure DevOps (Boards, Test Plans, Pipelines)
• Bug tracking tools
• API testing for device communication
• JSON file validation
• Basic SQL for backend data checks

• Familiarity with BLE device behavior and smart lighting controls
• Basic understanding of Over-the-Air firmware upgrade testing
• Experience with BLE devices, embedded systems, or IoT
• ISTQB Certification (added advantage)
• Exposure to any test automation tools like Playwright, Selenium, Appium, Flutter Driver, integration_test, Espresso
• Exposure to automation frameworks like Page Object Model, Keyword Driven, Data Driven, Hybrid Driven
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with MS SQL, Azure DevOps, GitHub

Required Candidate Profile

• UG: BCA, BE/BTech in Computer Science, IT, Electronics & Telecommunication

  PG: MCA, MCS, MTech or equivalent
• Experience in writing detailed test cases and bug reports
• Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools
• Good understanding of functional and regression testing
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and report risks/issues promptly
