Junior Tester

Role & responsibilities

Execute manual test cases to Perform functional, regression, and smoke testing following established test plans and procedures

• Document, log and report bugs with clear descriptions, steps to reproduce, and severity levels

• Verify bug fixes and conduct regression testing

• Create detailed test reports and status updates for stakeholders and maintain test documentation and update test cases

• Document test results and maintain testing metrics

• Work closely with developers to understand features and clarify requirements

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and reusable test automation frameworks (e.g., using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright etc.) tailored to the app under test.

• Integrate automated tests into Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins

• Basic Python/Go programming for automation beyond shell scripts

• Understanding of APIs and REST services for integration tasks

• Understanding of compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO 27001 basics)

Preferred candidate profile

Experience with multiple CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Ansible, docker and kubernetes

• Familiarity with different cloud providers and their services

• Knowledge of various monitoring solutions and their strengths

• Experience with different ticketing and workflow management systems

Certifications (Any one of them)

• ISTQB

• CCNA

• OS Related (RHCS, RHCE)

• CKA

• Automations (Ansible, Jenkins)
