We're a small team (9 people) focused on doing great work without the corporate complexity. We're building our marketing presence and looking for a Junior Social Media Manager who can help us tell our story, showcase our work, and connect with potential clients online.
The Role
We're looking for a Junior Social Media Manager who can manage our social media presence, create engaging content, and help position AppUp Labs as a thought leader in the mobile app development space. You'll be responsible for building our online community and generating awareness among our target audience.

What You'll Do
Content Creation & Management:
- Create and schedule social media content across LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram
- Write engaging posts about our projects, team culture, and industry insights
- Design simple graphics and visuals using Canva or similar tools
- Showcase our portfolio projects as case studies and success stories
- Share industry trends, tips, and thought leadership content
- Create content calendars and maintain consistent posting schedule
Community Engagement:
- Respond to comments and messages across all platforms
- Engage with potential clients, industry peers, and tech communities
- Monitor mentions and conversations about AppUp Labs
- Build relationships with relevant accounts in the startup/tech ecosystem
- Participate in relevant LinkedIn groups and Twitter communities
Strategy & Analytics:
- Develop content themes aligned with our target audience (startup founders, CTOs, product managers)
- Track basic metrics (engagement, reach, follower growth)
- Identify what content performs well and optimize accordingly
- Stay updated on platform algorithm changes and best practices
- Collaborate with team to gather content (project updates, team stories, client testimonials)
Your Typical Week:
- Monday:Plan content calendar for the week, brainstorm ideas
- Tuesday-Thursday:Create and schedule content, engage with community
- Friday:Review analytics, plan next week's strategy, team sync
Required Qualifications
Must-Haves:
- Some professional experience ofmanaging social media for a brand or company
- Strong writing skills- you can write engaging, clear, and error-free content
- Basic design skills- comfortable using Canva, Figma, or similar tools
- Platform knowledge- hands-on experience with LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram
- Understanding of B2B marketing- you know B2B is different from B2C
- Tech-savvy- comfortable learning about app development, tech trends
- Self-motivated- can work independently and take initiative
- Communication skills- you can collaborate with developers and designers to gather content
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience in tech/SaaS/startup industry
- Knowledge of social media management tools (Buffer, Hootsuite, Later)
- Basic video editing skills (Reels, Stories, short-form content)
- Understanding of SEO and content marketing
- Experience with LinkedIn ads or organic growth strategies
- Photography skills (for team photos, behind-the-scenes content)
- Experience building personal or company brands from scratch
