Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Junior Accountant based in Mumbai. The Junior Accountant will be responsible for assisting with financial reporting, maintaining financial records, preparing journal entries, and reconciling accounts. They will also handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. Other day-to-day tasks include assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and performing general administrative duties related to accounting.

Roles & Responsibilities:

 Accounting & Bookkeeping

 Record and maintain accounting entries in Tally.

 Banking with daily transactions, Inward and outward remittance, Bank Reconciliation, etc.

 Track and reconcile office expenses including rent, utility bills, and other overheads.

 Handle employee reimbursements, salary processing, and Full & Final (F&F) settlements.

 Manage and ensure timely payment of statutory dues including PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, and

TDS.

 Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1 & GSTR-3B), and TDS returns.

 Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.

 Assist in ROC filings and others

 Prepare MIS reports, cash flow statements, profit & loss accounts,

 Compile and analyze management reports, assist with internal and statutory audits.

 Vendor onboarding, PO management, invoice processing, and timely payments.

 Handle client onboarding, registration, invoicing, and collection follow-ups.

 Maintain updated collection status reports

 Manage corporate credit card usage and ensure timely reconciliation and payments.

 Maintain documentation and records as per audit and investor requirements.

Key Skills Required:

 Strong knowledge of Tally ERP and Microsoft Excel.

 Good understanding of GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances.

 Excellent analytical and reporting skills.

 Familiarity with payroll processing and statutory payments.

 Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and project profitability tracking.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of financial reporting, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and maintaining financial records
• Strong understanding of accounting standards and regulations
• Proficiency in budgeting and forecasting
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
