Experience

Jira Administrator who will collaborate with development and IT operations teams to optimize software delivery, automate processes, and improve system reliability. Must have a strong understanding of Scrum frameworks and knowledge of software delivery processes. In this role, you will be responsible for the administration, development, and maintenance of our Jira platform, ensuring its optimal functionality and alignment with our software delivery processes. You must have hands-on experience with project configuration elements in Jira like workflows (including conditions, validators, post functions), screen schemes, field configuration, security scheme, notification scheme, including plugins, using REST APIs and the ability to design custom workflows.

Desired skills and qualities-

·      Experience in working with cross-functional teams, providing guidance on Jira-related needs

·      Solid understanding of Scrum framework is essential to support Scrum teams

·      Knowledge of the software development lifecycle, preferably with Agile methodology

·      Groovy scripting and proficiency in tools like "Scriptrunner" and "Automation for Jira"

·      Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work collaboratively in an agile environment

·      Experience in Python will be added advantage

·      Good verbal and written communication skills in English.

Roles and Responsibilities:

·      JIRA administration and maintenance responsibilities, including management of various Atlassian products such as Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence and other related tools

·      Experience with one or more complete Jira implementations

·      Develop complex workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, notification schemes, and more in JIRA

·      Have end-to-end excellent knowledge of JIRA Agile Boards: Scrum & Kanban

·      Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand, analyze, document, plan, and prioritize optimal solutions

·      Gather requirements for business processes and determine ways to optimize/improve JIRA, as well as identify where functionality can/cannot meet user requests

·      Troubleshoot issues and provide support for day-to-day user requests

·      Create JIRA projects, queries, and reports

·      Install and upgrade Atlassian Tools (JIRA (Add-ons), Confluence & Apps in Atlassian Market Place)

·      Configure Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Desk

·      Manage user permissions and project roles for JIRA, Confluence, and other tools

·      Work with cross-functional agile teams to understand their JIRA needs and provide guidance and solutions

·      Create and manage custom JQL filters and dashboards as needed

·      Implement procedures and best practices

·      Perform bulk changes and CSV imports

·      Knowledge of Groovy Scripting in Jira cloud environment

·      Basic programming knowledge with strong understanding of the Jira Cloud Rest API to automate processes and develop custom integration

·      Experience with using tools like "Scriptrunner" and "Automation for Jira"

·      Ability to build collaborative relationships across the organization

·      Ability to analyze, review, and document current functionality to determine potential areas of improvement

·      Knowledge of Industry best practices

Academic Background –

·      MBA, BE, MCA, MSc IT

Industry Experience

·      Any or Metal Manufacturing, Steel industry will be added advantage
