IT Support Engineer

IT Infrastructure Oversight:

• Lead IT planning and execution for showroom launches, pop-up events, and seasonal campaigns, including infrastructure setup and temporary system support.
• Manage and maintain end-to-end IT infrastructure including servers, POS systems, desktops, networking, and backup systems across one or more showrooms.
• Ensure high availability of critical showroom systems during business hours and events.

POS, Billing & Inventory Systems Management:

• Oversee the configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization of POS terminals, barcode scanners, billing software, and jewellery inventory systems (e.g., Tally, Microsoft Dynamics, or custom ERP).
• Monitor data flow between showroom systems and central servers/ERP platforms.

CCTV, Security & Access Control Systems:

• Manage and maintain showroom surveillance systems (CCTV), biometric attendance, alarm systems, and access control devices.
• Coordinate system upgrades and compliance with data security and privacy policies.

Network & Connectivity Administration:

• Administer and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, firewalls, switches, and wireless networks to ensure stable and secure connectivity.
• Implement and manage VPN connections for secure remote access to central systems (if applicable).
• Team Coordination & Support Supervision:
• Lead and mentor junior technical support staff; assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide guidance.
• Act as the escalation point for complex technical issues and ensure timely resolution.

System Monitoring, Maintenance & Uptime:

• Schedule and conduct routine system checks, preventive maintenance, and health audits of all IT systems.
• Implement proactive measures to minimize downtime and ensure showroom operations are uninterrupted.

Cybersecurity & Data Protection:

• Implement and enforce IT security protocols including antivirus updates, user access controls, password policies, and data encryption.
• Oversee regular backups of billing data, stock records, and CCTV footage.

Vendor & Head Office Coordination:

• Liaise with external IT vendors and service providers for hardware procurement, AMC (Annual Maintenance Contracts), software licensing, and technical support.

IT Documentation & Asset Management:

• Maintain updated documentation for IT assets, warranties, license renewals, network diagrams, and user logs.
• Monitor inventory of IT hardware and recommend procurement or upgrades when necessary.

Support for Events, New Store Setups & Expansions:
