Role Overview

Investment & Investor Relations Analyst

Key Responsibilities1. Investor Lead Generation
  • Identify and curate investor leads (VCs, family offices, PE, strategic investors, operators).
  • Build segmented investor lists based on stage, cheque size, thesis, and sector fit.
  • Track warm vs cold leads, prior investments, and decision-makers.
2. Deal Pipeline Creation & Management
  • Maintain an end-to-end fundraising pipeline (CRM / tracker).
  • Track outreach status, meetings, data room access, and next steps.
  • Prepare weekly pipeline dashboards for leadership review.
3. First-Level Structural Due Diligence
  • Conduct initial diligence on deal structure, cap table, use of funds, and financials.
  • Review term sheets, shareholder structures, and basic legal/compliance readiness.
  • Flag red areas early before senior leadership engagement.
4. Documentation & Report Generation
  • Prepare investor materials: teasers, pitch decks, data room indexes, FAQs.
  • Generate IC-style notes, meeting summaries, and diligence briefs.
  • Support financial model review and investor-specific custom decks.
5. Investor & Operator Follow-ups
  • Manage structured follow-ups post meetings and data sharing.
  • Coordinate with investors, strategic partners, and operators for next steps.
  • Ensure momentum is maintained across the fundraising funnel.
Key Skills & Requirements
  • Strong analytical and financial understanding (basic modeling, metrics, cap tables).
  • Experience with startups, investment banking, PE/VC, or corporate strategy preferred.
  • Excellent communication, follow-up discipline, and documentation skills.
  • Comfortable working directly with founders and senior stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple parallel conversations.
Tools & Exposure
  • CRM tools (Airtable, HubSpot, Notion, Excel/Sheets).
  • Data rooms (Drive, DocSend, Dropbox).
  • Direct exposure to investors, term sheets, and deal negotiations.
Success Metrics (KPIs)
  • Number of qualified investor conversations initiated per month
  • Conversion rate: intro → meeting → data room → term sheet
  • Accuracy and turnaround time of diligence notes & documentation
  • Follow-up closure rate and pipeline hygiene
