Job Summary: The Store & Dispatch Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the inventory management process within the company. This includes managing stock levels, tracking inventory, ensuring timely replenishment, coordinating with suppliers, and maintaining accurate records to optimize inventory flow. The Inventory Manager will play a key role in preventing stock outs or overstocking, ensuring the efficiency of inventory control procedures, and supporting overall supply chain operations. Key Responsibilities: Inventory Management: Monitor and control inventory levels, ensuring that stock levels are adequate to meet demand without overstocking. This includes all type of inventory Raw Material, Consumable, Tools and Tackles, Semi-finished good & Finished goods Develop and implement inventory control policies and procedures. Perform regular inventory audits to verify stock quantities and conditions. Stock Replenishment: Work closely with the procurement team to reorder stock based on inventory levels, demand forecasts, and lead times. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods. Data Entry & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions, including receiving, shipping, returns, and adjustments. Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports. Track and analyze inventory turnover and make recommendations for improvements. Warehouse Operations: Oversee the organization and storage of inventory in the warehouse to maximize space and efficiency. Ensure all inventory is properly labeled and easily accessible. Stock Movement & Distribution: Ensure proper stock rotation, implementing FIFO (First in, First Out) or LIFO (Last in, First Out) practices where necessary. Coordinate the picking, packing, and shipping of orders to ensure timely deliveries. Team Coordination: Manage and supervise inventory team members, ensuring productivity and accuracy. Provide training and development opportunities for staff to ensure proper inventory control practices. Problem-Solving: Address any discrepancies in inventory, including shortages, overages, or damaged goods. Investigate and resolve issues related to lost or missing inventory items. Forecasting and Planning: Work closely with sales and production teams to forecast demand and plan inventory needs. Use historical data and market trends to predict inventory needs and avoid shortages or excess stock. Supervision of Dispatch Operations: Oversee the daily dispatch operations to ensure the efficient and on-time delivery of goods. · Oversee daily loading and unloading activities, ensuring that goods are properly handled and transferred between trucks, containers, and warehouse storage. · Ensure loading and unloading are performed safely and efficiently while meeting deadlines. · Coordinate with warehouse staff, drivers, and other departments to ensure smooth and accurate handling of shipments. · Assign tasks and ensure work is completed on time.
