Job Description

Job Summary: The Audit Executive is responsible for conducting internal audits of hospital operations, financial transactions, and compliance with healthcare regulations. The role ensures accuracy, transparency, and accountability in hospital processes, while also identifying risks and recommending improvements for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Audit & Compliance:

  • Conduct internal audits of hospital departments, billing, pharmacy, stores, HR, procurement, and patient care units.
  • Verify compliance with statutory, financial, and regulatory requirements (NABH, JCI, clinical guidelines, etc.).
  • Check adherence to hospital policies, SOPs, and internal controls.

2. Financial & Billing Audit:

  • Audit patient billing (IP, OP, diagnostic, surgical packages, etc.) for accuracy.
  • Review pharmacy and consumables billing, discounts, and approvals.
  • Validate insurance claims and TPA billing compliance.

3. Operational Audit:

  • Monitor inventory management of drugs, consumables, and medical equipment.
  • Review vendor contracts, purchases, and payments.
  • Ensure effective utilization of hospital resources and minimize revenue leakage.

4. Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks, fraud, or irregularities in processes.
  • Recommend preventive and corrective measures.
  • Track and report audit findings with follow-up on corrective actions.

5. Reporting & Documentation:

  • Prepare detailed audit reports with observations, risks, and recommendations.
  • Submit reports to management for review and decision-making.
  • Maintain documentation for audit trails.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of hospital operations, billing, and compliance.

Analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good understanding of internal controls and risk management.

Proficiency in MS Excel, audit tools, and hospital management software (HMS).

Strong communication and report writing skills.

Ethical, detail-oriented, and proactive.

Qualification & Experience:

Bachelor’s / MBA Finance, Master’s in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or Healthcare Management.

2–5 years of experience in auditing, preferably in a hospital or healthcare sector.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
