Job Description – Internal Audit Executive

Location - Calicut

Looking for Internal Auditors to oversee financial, operational, and academic compliance

across all xylem branches (Kerala, TN and Karnataka). The role involves conducting

Departmental audits, branch audits, reviewing fee collections, verifying documentation,

assessing academic delivery, and ensuring adherence to company policies and statutory

requirements. The auditor will identify gaps, recommend process improvements, and help

strengthen internal controls. Frequent travel across branches is required (50%).

Key Responsibilities:

 Plan, execute, and report internal audits in accordance with the approved audit

plan.

 Review financial, operational, HR, procurement, IT, and compliance processes for

adequacy and effectiveness.

 Conduct periodic and surprise audits of branch operations.

 Review fee collection, receipts, expenses, and bank deposits.

 Verify academic processes, student records, staff compliance, and documentation.

 Ensure adherence to SOPs, financial controls, and statutory norms.

 Report audit findings and follow up on corrective actions.

 Identify control weaknesses, non-compliances, inefficiencies, and areas for

improvement.

 Prepare clear, structured working papers with proper audit evidence.

 Draft audit reports highlighting observations, risks, and actionable

recommendations.

 Follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations and validate

corrective actions.

 Assist in the development and updating of audit methodologies, checklists, and

SOPs.

 Collaborate with cross-functional teams while maintaining independence and

objectivity.

 Support special investigations, surprise audits, and management-assigned tasks.

Requirements:

 Bachelor’s/master’s degree (Commerce/Finance/Business preferred).

 1–5 years of internal audit or branch audit experience.

 Strong analytical skills, integrity, and willingness to travel across locations.

 Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with audit/ERP systems.

 Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.

 High ethical standards and professional integrity.
