Inside Sales Manager (Retail)
About The Opportunity
We are hiring an on-site Inside Sales Manager based in Mumbai to own end-to-end inside-sales operations for retail channels. You will manage a high-velocity sales pipeline, coach inside-sales reps, and convert inbound & outbound leads into retail revenue while maintaining strong relationships with retail partners and distributors.Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and coach the inside-sales team to hit monthly and quarterly revenue targets (quota ownership and performance management).
- Drive end-to-end sales cycles: prospecting, qualification, negotiation and closing for retail and distributor accounts.
- Manage CRM hygiene and pipeline forecasting—ensure accurate deal stages, activity logging and weekly forecast reviews.
- Design and optimise sales cadences, scripts and KPIs to improve conversion rates and shorten sales cycles.
- Collaborate with field sales, marketing and operations to align promotions, product launches and on-ground execution with inside-sales campaigns.
- Analyse sales metrics (win rates, funnel velocity, deal size) and implement actionable improvements to drive sustained growth.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- 5+ years total sales experience with 5+ years managing inside-sales or B2B retail sales teams—onsite in Mumbai preferred.
- Proven track record of quota attainment and scaling inside-sales operations for retail accounts.
- Strong CRM experience (Salesforce, Zoho, HubSpot or similar) and exceptional pipeline/forecasting discipline.
- Excellent communicator with solid negotiation and closing skills; comfortable handling key retail partners and distributors.
- Data-driven: comfortable with Excel, sales analytics and translating metrics into coaching and process changes.
Preferred
- Experience working with retail merchandising, distribution or FMCG segments and coordinating with field sales teams.
- Exposure to retail promotions, trade marketing or omnichannel retail strategies.
