Job Description

Technical Manager

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of infrastructure projects, with a focus on
Linux server patching, upgrades, and maintenance
.
Collaborate with
infrastructure, security, and application teams
to ensure patching windows are planned, communicated, and executed with minimal disruption.
Drive
patch management lifecycle
including assessment, scheduling, testing, deployment, and post-implementation validation.
Manage
risk, issue tracking, and mitigation plans
related to infrastructure changes.
Develop and maintain
detailed project plans, status reports, and executive updates
.
Ensure compliance with
security, audit, and regulatory requirements
for infrastructure and patching processes.
Act as the primary point of contact between stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership for all patching-related activities.
Oversee change management processes, approvals, and documentation in line with ITIL practices.
Coordinate with vendors, partners, and internal teams for smooth project execution.

Required Skills & Experience

7+ years
of experience in Project/Program Management with a strong technical background.
Proven expertise in
Linux system administration
(RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, or similar).
Solid understanding of
infrastructure patching cycles, vulnerability management, and security hardening
.
Experience with patch management tools (e.g.,
Ansible, Satellite, WSUS, SCCM, BigFix, or similar
).
Strong knowledge of
ITIL processes, change management, and incident/problem management
.
Familiarity with
Windows server patching
is a plus.
Excellent skills in
stakeholder management, communication, and reporting
.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk management capabilities.
PMP, Prince2, ITIL, or Agile certification preferred.

Nice to Have

Exposure to
cloud platforms
(AWS, Azure, GCP) infrastructure patching and security.
Knowledge of
containerized environments
(Docker, Kubernetes) patching.
Experience in
automation frameworks
for patching and compliance.
