Job description:
The Human Resources Specialist will play a critical role in shaping and managing the HR operations of the Bower School. This individual will focus on creating a positive work culture, driving employee
engagement, and supporting the organization’s strategic growth.
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
Oversee end-to-end hiring processes, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
Serve as the primary point of contact for employee queries and concerns.
Foster a positive and inclusive work environment by addressing workplace issues and promoting team collaboration.
Identify training needs and organize skill development programs for employees.
Assist in creating career progression plans for employees across departments.
Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
Administer payroll, leave policies, and employee benefits.
Implement and manage performance review systems.
Work closely with department heads to set and track employee goals.
Plan and execute engagement activities such as team-building events, wellness programs, and recognition initiatives.
Monitor employee satisfaction and suggest improvements.
Develop and update HR policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards in all HR operations.
Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the organization.
Champion the company’s core values and mission.
Time to Hire: Average number of days to fill a vacant position.
Offer Acceptance Rate: Percentage of job offers accepted by candidates.
Quality of Hire: Measured by new hire performance and retention within the first year.
Employee Turnover Rate: Percentage of employees leaving the organization within a specific period.
New Hire Retention Rate: Percentage of employees staying with the company after 6 months or 1 year.
Employee Satisfaction Score: Measured through regular employee surveys and feedback.
Participation Rate: Percentage of employees participating in engagement or wellness programs.

Training & Development
Training Completion Rate: Percentage of employees completing assigned training programs.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
2-5 years of HR experience, preferably in education or startups.
Certifications like SHRM-CP or PHR are a plus.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
Experience with HR software and tools - Zoho.
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
