Job Title: Director – Human Resources (Manufacturing)


Job Summary

We are looking for an HR Director to lead the entire Human Resources function for our manufacturing operations. The role will be responsible for building HR strategy, ensuring compliance, strengthening employee relations, and driving people initiatives that support productivity, safety, and organizational growth. The selected candidate will also spend the first 3 months working across Logistics, Operations, and Production to understand core processes before fully taking charge of the HR function.


Key Responsibilities

  • Define and implement HR strategy aligned with business and plant goals.
  • Work closely with Logistics, Operations, and Production teams to gain a thorough understanding of plant processes.
  • Oversee workforce planning, recruitment, and talent development for staff and workers.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, Factories Act, and statutory regulations.
  • Lead employee relations, manage union negotiations, and contract labor.
  • Build a culture of safety, engagement, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive performance management, succession planning, and leadership development.
  • Design and manage compensation, benefits, and reward policies.
  • Provide strategic advice to management on people issues.
  • Lead and mentor the HR team across plants/units.
  • Despite being HR the main area of focus, the role will also be included in financial and strategic decisions.


Requirements

  • Master’s/Bachelor’s degree.
  • 10+ years of HR experience, with significant exposure to manufacturing/plant HR.
  • Proven experience in labor law compliance and union/industrial relations.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and change management skills.
  • Ability to partner with business leadership and drive strategic initiatives.
  • Willingness to undergo 3 - 6 months of cross-functional exposure in Logistics, Operations, and Production.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Excellent Communication skills in English
