founding HR & People Operations Lead


What you’ll own

1. Hiring & Talent Acquisition

  • Own end-to-end hiring for tech, product, marketing, and operations roles
  • Draft JD’s, post roles, screen profiles, schedule interviews
  • Design a structured, bias-aware interview process
  • Build and manage a strong talent pipeline via LinkedIn, referrals, and communities

2. People Operations & Culture

  • Set up HR policies, handbooks, and basic HR systems for a growing startup
  • Drive onboarding & offboarding that feels human, clear, and respectful
  • Create simple, transparent processes around leave, performance, and feedback
  • Help founders shape a culture of

    respect, clarity, and accountability

3. Compliance & Documentation

  • Maintain employee records and HR documentation
  • Coordinate with founders/CA for contracts, NDAs, and basic HR compliance
  • Support in drafting offer letters, consultant agreements, and internship letters

4. Engagement & Well-being

  • Run simple but meaningful rituals: check-ins, 1:1s, town halls, feedback loops
  • Keep a pulse on team morale and proactively flag issues
  • Help design small initiatives around learning, recognition, and team bonding


You’ll be a great fit if you:
  • Have

    2–6 years

    of experience in HR / Talent / People Ops (startup or tech preferred)
  • Are comfortable owning

    both hiring + day-to-day HR ops

  • Communicate clearly, calmly, and respectfully—even under pressure
  • Enjoy building processes from scratch instead of just following existing ones
  • Are comfortable working in a

    fast-moving, early-stage startup

  • Care about

    people, boundaries, mental health and fairness

    at work
  • Are okay working with some ambiguity while things are still being built


Nice-to-have (but not mandatory)
  • Experience hiring for

    tech / product / marketing

    roles
  • Prior experience in an early-stage startup
  • Familiarity with HR tools (ATS, HRMS, LinkedIn Recruiter, etc.)
