Job Description

  • Education:

    MBA / PGDM in HR, or equivalent.
  • Experience:

    10 - 12 years of HR experience, preferably in the construction / infrastructure industry.
  • Skills:

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Sound knowledge of labour laws and compliance.
    • Proficiency in MS Excel, HRMS tools, and report preparation.
    • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Work Environment

  • Based at the Head Office, with regular site visits as per project requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with project managers for manpower forecasting based on project timelines.

2. On-boarding & Induction

  • Conduct induction programs to familiarize employees with company policies, safety standards, and site protocols.
  • Maintain complete employee documentation and digital records.

3. Attendance, Leave & Payroll Management

  • Supervise attendance and leave tracking for all project sites.
  • Coordinate with the Accounts Department for monthly payroll processing.
  • Ensure statutory deductions (PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, Gratuity) are made accurately and timely.

4. Statutory Compliance & Labour Law Management

  • Ensure compliance with all labour laws and statutory requirements applicable to construction sites.
  • Maintains statutory registers, records, and returns under relevant Acts.
  • Liaise with government authorities and contractors to ensure compliance at all levels.

5. Employee Relations & Site HR Administration

  • Build and maintain positive employee relations across all sites.
  • Address grievances, disciplinary issues, and resolve employee concerns.
  • Conduct regular HR audits and site visits to ensure policy implementation and workforce discipline.
  • Coordinate with Admin for employee welfare facilities such as accommodation, canteen, and medical support.

6. Performance Management & Appraisal

  • Assist in developing and implementing KRA/KPI-based appraisal systems.
  • Support department heads in conducting periodic performance reviews.
  • Recommend promotions, training, or disciplinary actions based on performance data.

7. Training & Development

  • Identify training needs and coordinate skill development programs.
  • Conduct site-level training on safety, compliance, and behavioural aspects.
  • Maintain training attendance, feedback, and effectiveness records.

8. Employee Engagement & Welfare

  • Organize employee engagement initiatives and cultural programs (e.g., Engineers Day, Independence Day, Navratri, etc.).
  • Ensure welfare measures and statutory amenities are available at sites.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and motivating work culture.

9. HR Policies & Documentation

  • Formulate, update, and implement HR policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee files, records, and reports.
  • Prepare HR dashboards, monthly reports, and data analysis for management review.
