Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Management:

  • Handle end-to-end payroll processing for all employees.
  • Manage inputs such as attendance, leave, variable pay, and incentives in coordination with Finance.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory deductions like PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, LWF, Income Tax, etc.
  • Coordinate with finance for salary disbursement and reconciliation.
  • Prepare and share monthly salary statements, payslips, and payroll-related MIS.
  • Manage full & final settlements for exited employees.

Statutory Compliance:

  • Ensure timely filing and compliance with all statutory requirements — PF, ESIC, Gratuity, Bonus, LWF, Minimum Wages, Shops & Establishment Act, etc.
  • Maintain updated statutory registers and records as per labour laws.
  • Liaise with government departments and auditors for inspections, audits, and queries.
  • Keep track of amendments in labour laws and implement necessary changes.

Employee Data Management & Audit:

  • Maintain accurate employee master data, HRIS records, and documentation.
  • Support in internal and external HR audits.
  • Prepare compliance reports, dashboards, and MIS for management review.

Policy & Process:

  • Assist in formulation and implementation of HR policies related to payroll and compliance.
  • Ensure smooth coordination between HR, Finance, and Operations teams for payroll and compliance matters.
  • Drive automation and process improvements in payroll and compliance workflows.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of

    labour laws

    and

    statutory compliance

    .
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in

    MS Excel

    and reporting.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education:

    Graduate/Post-Graduate in HR, Commerce, or related field.
