Who We’re Looking For:

An experienced, people-focused HR professional who understands the needs of a school setup. You should be organized, empathetic, detail-oriented, and capable of handling the entire HR lifecycle—recruitment to retention—with a strong focus on compliance, culture, and care.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs):

Recruitment & Staffing

  • End-to-end recruitment: JDs, sourcing, interviews, hiring coordination
  • Collaboration with department heads to identify staffing needs
  • Conduct background checks and past employment verification for all new hires
  • Maintain a talent pipeline for anticipated vacancies

Onboarding & Documentation

  • Ensure smooth onboarding through structured induction and orientation programs
  • Manage and store all HR documentation digitally and physically
  • Coordinate pre-employment medical checks for new joiners
  • Facilitate timely completion of self-attestation and record updates

Payroll & Statutory Compliance

  • Monthly payroll processing in collaboration with accounts
  • Track leave, attendance, and manage salary disbursals
  • Ensure timely compliance with PF, ESI, gratuity, and other statutory regulations
  • Maintain and update HRMIS and employee master data

Policy Implementation & Discipline

  • Ensure school policies, CBSE guidelines, and code of conduct are followed by staff
  • Lead disciplinary processes fairly and confidentially when needed
  • Keep policies updated as per evolving regulations or institutional needs

Staff Welfare & Engagement

  • Plan and execute events for staff motivation, bonding, and wellness
  • Manage internal communication channels for celebrating milestones and updates
  • Address staff concerns through an open-door and structured grievance system
  • Coordinate support programs during personal or professional challenges

Performance Management

  • Drive the annual and mid-year appraisal cycles
  • Support professional goal setting and feedback systems
  • Maintain performance records and support merit-based decisions

Training & Professional Development

  • Identify training needs in coordination with academic and admin heads
  • Organize mandatory CBSE training programs and track adherence
  • Maintain training calendars and completion records
  • Facilitate orientation for new education policies and tech tools

Audit, Reporting & Compliance

  • Maintain updated HR data dashboards for leadership and audit readiness
  • Ensure HR documentation is audit-ready for CBSE affiliation and government inspections
  • Submit monthly reports on hiring, exits, attendance, training, and grievances
  • Coordinate with medical room and safety team for staff-related medical recordkeeping

Qualifications & Skills

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in a school or education institution
  • Excellent command of HR systems, Google Workspace, and Excel
  • Up-to-date knowledge of labour laws, education-sector norms, and CBSE compliance
  • Excellent people skills, conflict resolution ability, and ethical judgment
  • Experience managing background verification, medical screening, and training documentation
