Job Description

A Person who oversees all aspects of human resource management in our school. He/she should be able to manage recruitment, training, employee relations, compensation, and more. The key responsibilities of an HR manager include:

  • Developing HR policies and ensuring compliance
  • Managing recruitment, selection, onboarding of employees
  • Overseeing employee training and development programs
  • Administering compensation, benefits, and performance appraisal systems
  • Building employee engagement through various initiatives
  • Handling employee grievances and conflict resolution
  • Ensuring legal compliance in all HR processes
  • Analyzing HR metrics and developing actionable insights

The person should works closely with the management team to align HR strategies with overall school objectives. They act as an advisor and thought partner to business leaders on people-related matters.

Role and Responsibilities

1. Recruitment and Selection

The person is responsible for identifying hiring needs and recruiting suitable candidates. Key duties include:

  • Preparing job descriptions and hiring requisitions
  • Posting jobs on platforms like newspaper, job portals etc.
  • Screening applications and shortlisting candidates
  • Conducting interviews and assessments
  • Making job offers and onboarding new hires

The person should utilizes various channels for sourcing candidates like employee referrals, job portals, recruiters, social media etc. They ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.

2. Training and Development

HR managers oversee training programs to enhance employee performance and development. This involves:

  • Identifying training needs through needs analysis
  • Developing training programs and budgets
  • Hiring and managing external training vendors
  • Measuring training effectiveness
  • Promoting a continuous learning culture

Training programs could include onboarding of new hires, management development, workplace compliance, health and safety, soft skills training and more.

3. Performance Management

The person should design and implement performance appraisal systems to evaluate employee performance. This includes:

  • Setting individual and team performance metrics
  • Monitoring progress and providing performance feedback
  • Identifying high performers for fast tracking
  • Supporting poor performers through performance improvement plans
  • Making promotion and compensation recommendations based on performance

They ensure the performance management process is fair, transparent and rewards merit.

4. Employee Relations

The person should nurture positive employee relations in the organization. They do this by:

  • Building trust through open communication and employee advocacy
  • Implementing engagement initiatives and wellness programs
  • Handling grievances and resolving workplace conflicts
  • Managing disciplinary issues and terminations
  • Administering employee satisfaction surveys
  • Encouraging work-life balance

5. Regulatory Compliance

The Person should ensure company HR practices comply with all labor laws and statutory regulations. This entails:

  • Staying up-to-date on the latest HR compliance regulations
  • Liaising with legal counsel on company policies and handbooks
  • Implementing required policy changes
  • Tracking compliance through audits and reporting
  • Completing mandatory filings and documentation

Some key regulations cover equal opportunity, sexual harassment, data privacy, termination, health and safety etc.

6. Organization Development

The person should contribute to organization development initiatives by:

  • Identifying needs and opportunities through organizational analysis
  • Leading change management and culture building programs
  • Assessing organizational health through surveys and interviews
  • Partnering with management to foster organization growth

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Faridabad, Haryana: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Education:

  • Master's (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Payroll: 3 years (Preferred)
  • HR: 3 years (Required)
  • total work: 5 years (Required)

Language:

  • English (Required)

License/Certification:

  • Professional in Human Resources® (Required)
