HR Manager

We're Hiring: HR Manager – Astroport India Pvt. Ltd.

About Us:

Astroport India Pvt. Ltd. is a pioneer in astronomy and space science education, astrotourism, and scientific outreach. With a passionate team of educators, stargazing experts, and innovation leaders, we’re expanding rapidly across India. We are now looking for a dynamic HR Manager to lead our human resource operations, shape employee experiences, and support our growing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic HR Management:

• Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with company goals
• Design and execute HR policies, processes, and SOPs
• Act as a strategic partner to senior management in workforce planning and growth

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:

• Manage end-to-end recruitment for multiple departments
• Collaborate with department heads to define job roles and hiring timelines
• Conduct interviews, reference checks, and onboarding programs

Training & Development:

• Oversee employee induction and orientation processes
• Identify training needs and coordinate skill development programs
• Monitor training effectiveness and maintain feedback mechanisms

Employee Engagement & Retention:

• Build a positive, inclusive, and performance-driven work culture
• Plan and execute employee engagement activities and recognition programs
• Handle grievances, employee counseling, and team bonding initiatives

HR Operations:

• Maintain accurate HR documentation and employee records
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies
• Supervise attendance, payroll coordination, leave, and performance systems

Performance Management:

• Implement and manage performance appraisal cycles (KRA/KPI-based)
• Guide managers in performance discussions and employee development plans

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience (5+ years) in HR, preferably in EdTech, Startups, or fast-growing organizations
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• In-depth knowledge of HR laws, recruitment, and HRMS tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Education Qualification:

• Master’s Degree in HR, Business Administration, or relevant field
• Certification in Labor Laws, HR Analytics, or Organizational Psychology is a plus
