Job Description

Head of HR (IT Operations)

Location: Bangalore (In-office) Experience: 15+ Years Industry: Information Technology / Software Services Reports to: CEO / Founder

Role Objective

We are seeking a high-caliber, disciplined HR Generalist to lead our Human Resources department. We need a results-driven leader and a taskmaster who can instill rigor, accountability, and high performance across the organization. You will be responsible for streamlining IT operations, managing a team, and ensuring that HR policies translate into tangible business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Performance Management & Accountability

  • Implement and enforce a rigorous Performance Management System (PMS) with clear KPIs.
  • Act as the primary driver of accountability, ensuring that underperformance is addressed swiftly and objectively.
  • Monitor team productivity metrics and report directly to leadership on workforce efficiency.

2. Team Leadership & Discipline

  • Directly manage the HR team (Recruitment, Operations, and Payroll), ensuring they meet strict daily and monthly delivery targets.
  • Standardize internal communication and operational workflows to minimize errors.

3. Talent Acquisition & Retention (IT Focus)

  • Oversee the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle for niche IT roles, ensuring a low cost-per-hire and high joining ratio.
  • Develop aggressive retention strategies while maintaining a lean, high-output workforce.

4. Policy Enforcement & Compliance

  • Design and implement airtight HR policies tailored for an IT environment.
  • Ensure 100% statutory compliance (PF, ESI, PT, Gratuity, Labor Laws) and maintain audit-ready documentation.

5. Employee Relations & Conflict Resolution

  • Handle complex employee grievances and disciplinary actions with firmness and legal precision.
  • Maintain a professional, high-performance culture where excellence is expected and rewarded.

Candidate profile

Experience

15+ years of HR Generalist experience, specifically within the software industry.

Leadership Style

Strong, authoritative, and disciplined. Proven ability to drive results under pressure.

Technical Skills

Expertise in HRMS tools, advanced Excel for reporting, and deep knowledge of Indian Labor Law.

Communication

Direct, clear, and persuasive. Ability to hold difficult conversations at all levels.

Education

MBA in HR or equivalent from a reputed institution.

Salary

1200000 to 1500000 Lpa

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
