Job Description: Senior Accountant

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join our dynamic IT products and services agency. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and a proven track record of managing tax and statutory compliance in India.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and cost accounting.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Conduct month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
• Oversee all tax-related compliances, including but not limited to, Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Income Tax. This includes preparing and filing returns, managing reconciliations (e.g., GSTR-2A), and handling tax-related notices and inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with all other statutory obligations and filings relevant to an IT services and products company.
• Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Provide financial analysis and forecasting to support business decision-making.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors and tax authorities.
• Mentor and guide junior accounting staff.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA, CMA, or CA-Inter qualification is a plus.
• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the IT or technology sector.
• In-depth knowledge and practical experience with Indian taxation, specifically GST and Income Tax laws and procedures.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
