Job Description

Position OverviewThe Hotel Sales Manager will be responsible for driving revenue across all hotel segments, including rooms, banquets, and events. The role involves developing and executing sales strategies to maximize occupancy, increase banquet and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) business, and enhance overall profitability of the property. Key Responsibilities 1. Sales & Revenue GenerationDevelop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve room and banquet revenue targets. Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with key corporate clients, travel agents, wedding planners, and event organizers. Generate new business leads and proactively pursue potential clients through sales calls, visits, and networking. Prepare and manage annual sales budgets and forecasts in coordination with the General Manager. 2. Banquet & Event SalesMaximize revenue from the hotel’s 3 banquet halls by promoting them for weddings, conferences, social functions, and corporate events. Create tailored packages for events and groups to ensure competitive positioning in the local market. Coordinate with banquet operations and F&B teams to ensure smooth execution of events. 3. Account ManagementMaintain strong relationships with existing clients and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Monitor client feedback and work with operational teams to resolve any issues promptly. Manage corporate and group contracts, including rate negotiations and renewals. 4. Market Analysis & ReportingConduct regular market analysis to identify trends, competitor activities, and opportunities for growth. Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports for management review. Maintain an updated database of corporate accounts, travel agents, and event partners. 5. Collaboration & CoordinationWork closely with the marketing team to design promotions and advertising campaigns. Coordinate with the reservations, front office, and revenue management teams for optimum room utilization. Support the hotel’s online presence and reputation management efforts. Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field. Minimum 3–5 years of experience in hotel sales or business development, preferably in a property with both rooms and banquet operations. Strong local market knowledge and established client network (corporate, travel, and events). Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Proficiency in MS Office and hotel PMS/CRM systems (e.g., Opera, IDS, or equivalent).
