Role Summary

Deliver engaging History classes, build strong conceptual understanding of Indian & World History, and drive consistent board/exam outcomes using activity-based learning, projects, and rigorous assessments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver lessons aligned to CBSE/ICSE/State syllabus; maintain lesson plans & weekly schemes of work.
  • Design assessments: unit tests, question papers, rubric-based grading; analyze results and run remediation.
  • Use experiential & inquiry methods—maps/timelines, debates, role-plays, source-based questions.
  • Maintain classroom discipline and a positive learning climate; differentiate for mixed abilities.
  • Integrate technology (Smart Board/LMS/Google Classroom/MS Teams); maintain digital records.
  • Lead/assist history club, exhibitions, field trips, and inter-school competitions.
  • Collaborate with teachers for cross-curricular projects (History–Civics–Geography–Economics).
  • Parent communication: PTMs, progress updates, action plans.
  • Contribute to content (worksheets, question banks, PPTs) and academic audits.
Qualifications
  • TGT:

    BA (History)

    +

    B.Ed. (mandatory/preferred as per board norms); CTET/TET preferred.
  • PGT:

    MA (History)

    +

    B.Ed. (preferred); prior senior-secondary teaching desirable.
  • Strong English communication; Hindi/regional language an advantage.
  • Basic IT skills; familiarity with LMS/classroom tech.
Experience Bands (All welcome)
  • Fresher (0–1 yr):

    Strong subject foundation, demo lesson/micro-teaching readiness, trainable.
  • Junior (1–3 yrs):

    Independent class handling, paper setting, remediation support.
  • Mid (3–7 yrs):

    Board classes/X–XII outcomes, mentorship of juniors, club/house leadership.
  • Senior (7+ yrs):

    HOD/Academic Coordinator track, curriculum design, quality audits.

  • (Higher for metro/boarding/residential or proven board-result track records.)
