History Teacher

Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable History Teacher to teach students from Classes 6 to 12. The ideal candidate should have a deep love for History, excellent communication skills, and the ability to make the subject engaging, analytical, and relevant to today’s learners.

The teacher will handle both Middle School Social Science (History component) and Senior Secondary History (Class 11 & 12 – CBSE stream), fostering critical thinking, research, and curiosity about the past.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach History to students from Classes VI–XII as per the CBSE curriculum.
• Develop lesson plans, presentations, and activities that make History interactive, visual, and story-based.
• Encourage debates, discussions, and projects on historical events, sources, and perspectives.
• Prepare students for school examinations and CBSE Board exams (Class 10 & 12).
• Guide students in research projects, heritage clubs, and exhibitions.
• Integrate maps, timelines, documentaries, and field trips to enhance learning.
• Evaluate and monitor student progress regularly.
• Stay updated with CBSE changes, history pedagogy, and use of digital tools.
• Collaborate with colleagues in the Social Science Department for interdisciplinary learning.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Educational Qualification:
• B.A. (History / Social Sciences) with B.Ed. – mandatory
• M.A. (History) with B.Ed. – preferred for Senior Secondary handling
• Experience:
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience teaching History at the middle/senior level (CBSE preferred).
• Freshers with strong command and passion for the subject may also apply.
• Skills:
• Deep understanding of historical concepts and CBSE curriculum.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
• Ability to make History lively, relevant, and discussion-based.
• Good command over classroom management and lesson planning.
• Proficiency in using smart boards, digital tools, and audiovisual materials.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ₹25,000.00 per month
