QA & Testing Lead AnalystPosition OverviewThe Quality Analyst (QA) Tester upholds quality assurance standards and measures for the Health Information Interoperability team. The QA Tester gathers and analyzes data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements, enhancements, and plan and support direct supervisor in executing, training, and supporting the team. This will include writing test plans and scripts for tracking defects and fixes in product development, software application development, writing test plans and scripts for application development, information systems, and operations systems. The QA Tester exercises considerable creativity, foresight, and judgment in conceiving, planning, and delivering initiatives. The QA Tester utilizes deep professional knowledge and acumen to advise functional leaders. The QA Tester focuses on providing thought leadership within Information Management but works on broader projects, which require understanding of wider business.
Responsibilities
- Design and manage automation test framework and architecture, develop repeatable testing automation solutions that will effectively meet business requirements.
- Understand application workflow and work with business analysts, application team members, and Quality Analysts to integrate test scripts (smoke, system, regression, integration)
- Agile test automation development (In Sprint Automation), to create and maintain the test automation framework and test coverage to run effectively with CI/CD pipeline (Jenkins, Git)
- Requirements and design review, risk-based analysis, test data creation and management, test package creation, and creation and maintenance of process documentation.
- Review requirements, create test plans/scripts, executing both automated and manual test scripts as required and providing status reports.
- Analyse formal automated test results to discover and report any defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws.
- Collaborate with software/systems personnel in application testing, such as system, integration, regression and acceptance testing methods.
- As a member of the scrum team, closely interact with both onsite and offshore team members. The onsite and offshore interactions include scrum team members (Developers, Product Owners and QA at onsite and offshore)
- Define test data conditions and partners and works closely with Data team to obtain the data.
- Must be able to identify and analyse issues and be able to determine severity and solutions, prioritize issues for resolution and able to conduct risk analysis at various levels.
- Ensure traceability between product requirements, delivered code, test case verification and regression coverage.
- Ensure Automation code is being built in such a way to optimize automation that implements best practices in line with latest industry standards in automation development, maintenance and management of test automation artifacts
- Adheres to the organization's Quality Engineering best practices
Required Experience
- Minimum 7 years of software test automation framework and test design and test development experience, preferably hand on experience with different file formats (EDI, JSON, XML, Flat File).
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience in defining and implementing several test automation solutions leveraging one or more of the following: Selenium, SoapUI, Postman, Java Rest API
- Experience with working knowledge in DevOps, Jenkins, Cloudbees, Git, Jira, Java, Web services etc... with knowledge on TestNG.
- Working knowledge of any of RDBMS and related concepts and SQL Database.
- Experience in Design, development and implementation of QA strategy
- Must have broad knowledge experience with testing and modeling tools, and change management and test case generation techniques
- Knowledge and experience in data mockup, data masking methodologies - Familiar with Meta Data Management tools a plus
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Adaptable and flexible to business demands
- Well-developed problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Good To Have
- Experience working with Healthcare EDI Transaction (example – 837, 835, 834 etc.).
- Knowledge of Splunk, OpenShift, Edifecs
- ISTQB or any relevant certifications.
