Role Summary and Purpose

Responsible for leading the pricing, network development and day-to-day operations of the global freight forwarding / shipping function in the BEO in order to support smooth functioning of GFF front-end operation at various locations / branches.

Key Responsible Areas / Accountabilities (KRA)

Pricing & Vendor Management

• Develop and implement pricing strategies for Air, Sea, Land, and Courier services to ensure competitive and profitable rates.

• Collaborate with international vendors to negotiate competitive rates and ensure seamless service delivery.

• Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and industry developments to adjust pricing strategies 

accordingly.

• Ensure accurate and timely submission of quotes to clients and internal stakeholders.

• Weekly pricing meetings to analyse the team performance and evaluate client / vendors support.

• Maintain all import / export tariff with ready reference rate sheet with validity.

Team Management & Operations

• Lead and manage the day-to-day activities of the pricing and operations team at BEO.

• Monitor incoming emails, ensuring prompt responses and proactive issue resolution.

• Ensure proper delegation of tasks, workload management, and drive team performance by setting clear 

goals, tracking progress, and providing guidance.

• Implement all organizational policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that 

work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner in the function.

Client Services, Account Management & Sales Support

• Manage ongoing shipments, providing proactive updates and resolving issues as they arise.

• Support the onboarding of new key accounts, ensuring seamless integration and efficient handling.

• Collaborate closely with the sales team to develop customized pricing strategies that aid in converting new accounts (LOCAL & NETWORK)

• Provide data-driven insights, market analysis, and innovative solutions to support sales growth.

• Verify the pricing report to analyse the win/loose opportunities.

• Perform other related tasks as required by immediate superior.

Interaction/Job Dimension/Financials etc.

• Negotiation and liaising with local and international vendors. Constant communication with internal and externa teams, including other branches. 
• Work environment: Mostly office based with occasional cross-border travel, as required. 
• Physical demand: Normal physical demand.
• Challenges: Be available to pricing / internal and external queries 24X7 and problem-solving capacity with a customer-first approach.

Qualifications/Experiences/Competencies etc.

Academic / Professional Qualification

• Graduate in Business Management / Commerce.

• Diploma in Logistics or Related field is desirable.

Job Experience

• 5 - 6 Years Global Freight Forwarding experience including 2-3 years in a supervisory role.

• Experience in sales.
