Sales Head

Key Responsibilities:
Revenue & Sales Leadership
- Own monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets across learner programs and corporate engagements.
- Build and execute multi-channel sales strategies to grow across markets.
- Hire, mentor, and scale a
high-performance sales team
.
Student Acquisition (B2C)
- Drive conversions for job-oriented programs through structured counselling and funnel management.
- Build a strong admissions/counselling framework for premium programs.
- Grow leads via:
a. Digital marketing
b. Events, workshops, meetups
c. Ambassadors, influencers, referrals
Institutional Partnerships (B2I – Colleges)
- Partner with engineering colleges, universities, and T&P cells.
- Sell
campus employability interventions
, pre-placement modules, and long-term Skilling Partnerships. - Drive MoUs and annual engagements with repeatable delivery.
Corporate Talent Solutions (B2B)
- Build deep relationships with CTOs, Engineering Heads, HR/L&D Leaders, and TA teams.
- Expand Akumen’s footprint in the Kerala & GCC corporate ecosystem.
- Sell corporate skilling bootcamps, fresher academies, and project-ready talent pods to:
a. IT services firms
b. GCCs
c. SaaS / product companies
d. MSME tech firms
Sales Operations & Performance Management
- Build dashboards and reporting frameworks for conversion metrics, lead velocity, forecasting, and CAC.
- Implement CRM-driven processes, sales scripts, and standardized counselling frameworks.
- Improve funnel efficiency using
data-driven insights
and structured sales playbooks
.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Ensure seamless handover from sales to delivery for outstanding learner and client experience.
- Work closely with
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience:
- 8–15 years of experience in
EdTech, Training & Skilling, Higher Education, Staffing, HR Tech, or Corporate L&D Sales
. - Proven track record of:
a. Driving revenue
b. Closing institutional and corporate deals
c. Scaling sales teams
d. Managing B2C/B2B pipelines
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong consultative selling skills and ability to influence CXO-level stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship development skills.
- Experience building sales engines, funnels, and predictable revenue models.
- Data-oriented approach to decision making.
- High ownership mindset, entrepreneurial energy, and resilience.
